My side project from the Christmas break is now available on the iOS App Store: the Harrisburg Crime Tracker.

Version 1.0.0 is a fairly simple iPhone-only app that maps crime reports by day and provides trend information for neighborhoods and crime types. Everything in it is open source: there is a Clojure backend that parses the Harrisburg police department’s PDF crime blotter and provides the API on hbg-crime.org, and the Objective-C frontend as well.

I’m currently working on expanding it to take advantage of iPad; hopefully that version will be available in the next couple weeks.
